Shirley J Lockhart History 2270 Professor Queenen Fall 2012 Trappers The trappers were good at blazing trails with the wildness from the many other accedes. They went where no other white man had gone before them. The trails were through some of the hardest aras of land in the state. The trappers were the first white work force to natter the Indians on their own land. Some of the trails that we use straight off atomic number 18 the same trails that were discovered and mapped by the mountain men. The rivers of California are like a street map of the state. The trappers and mountain men used the rivers to explore and suffer a good urine supply. The trappers needed to fostered settlers in the state. The outposts of the settlers began to fix into cities and bring in more than people. The trappers brought the knowledge of the geography of the state to the other settlers. However, there was mystify at that these maps that the trappers do would help the United States Army expand into these areas. The outposts that the trappers colonized that grew allowed for more Americans to persist west and look for the opportunities that were available in California.
The farming, the coastal industries, and the harvesting of California came from those few men who were suffer enough to walking through the mountain passes and look for slipway into California. By expanding the ways to come to California, and the trappers knowledge of the land, permanent settlers made California into a thriving and bustling area. The Americans were able to appropriate t his land and machinate it into a land that ! would someday take for one of the largest economies in the world. The area became a state, and the population act to grow, especially with the accessory of the railroads that allowed for more people to come to the area.
